Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Vetricept** is a veterinary topical skin and wound-care cleanser developed by Spectrum Antimicrobials. It is a patent-pending modified hypochlorous acid formulation containing copper, zinc, and ferric chlorides, intended to clean, debride, and moisten acute and chronic wounds, burns, surgical incisions, hot spots, abrasions, lacerations, and other skin conditions in animals. The formulation uses hypochlorous acid, an oxidizing antimicrobial molecule naturally generated by mammalian innate immune cells, and is designed to remain active in the presence of blood, serum, and other organic material while helping reduce local inflammation, itch, and pain. Vetricept was launched for veterinary use and distributed through Covetrus for companion and other animal species. ([northamerica.covetrus.com](https://northamerica.covetrus.com/Product?sku=081213))
