Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VF001-DP HD is a high-dose formulation of a proprietary recombinant fusion protein designed for topical application to chronic wounds, particularly venous leg ulcers. The drug consists of an engineered vitronectin motif linked to insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), creating a multi-action biologic that provides cell attachment sites and stimulates cellular proliferation in the wound bed. This mechanism enables fibroblasts and keratinocytes to attach, migrate, and proliferate within the extracellular matrix, thereby promoting wound healing by reinstating more normal tissue repair processes. The product has been evaluated as an adjunct to standard care in randomized controlled trials for chronic venous leg ulcers[5][6].
