Overview

VG161 + camrelizumab is an investigational combination therapy for cancer, specifically targeting advanced primary hepatocellular carcinoma. **VG161** is an oncolytic herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) vector engineered to express human interleukin-12 (IL-12), interleukin-15 (IL-15) with IL-15Ra, and a PD-L1 blocking peptide. This design enables direct tumor lysis and the induction of a potent anti-tumor immune response through innate and adaptive mechanisms. **Camrelizumab** is a humanized monoclonal antibody that acts as a checkpoint inhibitor targeting programmed death-1 (PD-1), thereby blocking the PD-1 pathway and enhancing T-cell mediated anti-tumor activity. The combination aims to leverage the immune microenvironment changes induced by VG161 with the T-cell activation promoted by camrelizumab.
