VHH_NPX is a proprietary vectorization platform developed by Neurophoenix, designed to facilitate the cytosolic delivery of therapeutic payloads, including peptides and antisense oligonucleotides, to the central nervous system (CNS). The platform utilizes a single-domain antibody (VHH) scaffold, also known as a nanobody, in which the antigen-binding loop has been deliberately deactivated. This modification allows the VHH to function as a specialized delivery vehicle rather than a binding agent, enabling the transport of therapeutic molecules across cellular membranes and the blood-brain barrier. The lead candidate derived from this platform is NPX461, a fusion protein consisting of the VHH_NPX vehicle and the therapeutic peptide payload NVshort. The technology is currently in the preclinical stage of development for various CNS indications.
