Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VIA DBM Plus is a demineralized bone matrix (DBM) allograft developed by VIVEX Biologics, consisting of a DBM paste supplemented with cortical bone chips. It is regulated as a Human Cells, Tissues, and Cellular and Tissue-Based Product (HCT/P) under Section 361 of the PHS Act. The product is designed to facilitate bone healing in orthopedic and reconstructive procedures by providing an osteoconductive scaffold for new bone growth and maintaining the osteoinductive potential of endogenous growth factors, such as bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs). The addition of cortical chips enhances the structural stability of the graft and increases the surface area available for cellular attachment and proliferation, making it suitable for filling bone voids and supporting spinal fusion.
