VIA Disc NP is an off-the-shelf, minimally invasive, injectable allograft composed of processed human nucleus pulposus (NP) tissue derived from donor intervertebral discs. It is designed to supplement and restore the natural cushioning function of degenerated lumbar intervertebral discs by replacing lost or damaged nucleus pulposus tissue. The product consists of dehydrated nucleus pulposus particulate that is mixed with saline prior to injection and delivered into the center of the affected disc via a spinal needle under fluoroscopic guidance. By restoring hydration and biomechanical properties similar to healthy disc tissue, VIA Disc NP aims to relieve chronic low back pain associated with degenerative disc disease (DDD), improve mobility, and potentially delay or eliminate the need for surgical interventions such as spinal fusion or artificial disc replacement[1][2][4][6][10]. Clinical studies have shown promising results in pain reduction and functional improvement following treatment.
