VIAGENEX is a viable allogeneic bone matrix (VABM) developed by VIVEX Biologics, designed for use in orthopedic and spinal fusion procedures. Regulated as a Human Cell, Tissue, and Cellular and Tissue-Based Product (HCT/P) under Section 361 of the PHS Act, it is processed to preserve the native bone's regenerative components. The product provides a triad of bone-healing properties: an osteoconductive scaffold (mineralized and demineralized bone), osteoinductive potential (endogenous growth factors like Bone Morphogenetic Proteins), and osteogenic viable cells (including mesenchymal stem cells and osteoprogenitors). It is typically supplied as a cryopreserved graft that is thawed immediately before surgical implantation to ensure high cell viability and optimal clinical outcomes in promoting bone formation and fusion.
