Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VibeX is a riboflavin ophthalmic solution developed by Avedro, Inc. (later acquired by Glaukos Corporation) for use in corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL) procedures. It functions as a photosensitizer, and when activated by ultraviolet A (UVA) light from a system like the KXL System, it induces cross-linking of corneal collagen fibers. This process strengthens the cornea, impeding the progression of conditions such as keratoconus and corneal ectasia, and reducing maximum corneal curvature. VibeX is applied topically to the cornea.
