VIC-5555

VIC-5555 is an investigational oncolytic herpes simplex virus type 1 (oHSV-1) developed by Virogin Biotech. It is engineered using the company's proprietary Synerlytic™ platform to selectively replicate in tumor cells and induce systemic anti-tumor immunity. VIC-5555 is designed to express two therapeutic payloads: interleukin-12 (IL-12) and a monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1). By combining direct viral-mediated oncolysis with the localized expression of a potent cytokine and a checkpoint inhibitor, VIC-5555 aims to overcome the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment and enhance T-cell infiltration and activation. It is primarily being evaluated for the treatment of advanced solid tumors.
