Overview

Vilac Plus is a Thai herbal tonic solution that also contains probiotics, including Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus casei. It has been investigated as a supportive therapy alongside radiotherapy for patients with advanced cervical cancer. The proposed mechanism of action is based on its antioxidant properties, which may enhance the therapeutic effects of radiotherapy, protect normal tissues from radiation damage, and potentially improve survival rates. A pilot study conducted in Thailand suggested that the combination treatment was associated with improved survival outcomes and low rates of radiation morbidity compared to historical controls.
