Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**VIM0423** is an investigational once-daily oral small-molecule therapy developed by Vima Therapeutics for movement disorders, initially isolated dystonia and Parkinson's disease. The proprietary treatment is designed to selectively antagonize muscarinic cholinergic receptors in the brain to reduce pathological cholinergic signaling implicated in abnormal motor control while limiting the central and peripheral tolerability liabilities of conventional antimuscarinics. VIM0423 incorporates trihexyphenidyl-derived pharmacology and is being evaluated in the Phase 2 Stride Dystonia study in adults with isolated dystonia; it has received FDA Fast Track designation for isolated dystonia.
