Overview

VINCOV-19 is an equine-derived polyclonal antibody therapeutic developed by Vins Bioproducts in collaboration with the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) and the University of Hyderabad. It consists of highly purified F(ab')2 antibody fragments obtained from horses immunized with SARS-CoV-2 viral antigens. As a form of passive immunotherapy, VINCOV-19 works by binding to and neutralizing the SARS-CoV-2 virus, effectively blocking its internalization into human lung cells. The therapeutic has shown efficacy against multiple variants, including Omicron, and is indicated for the treatment of moderate COVID-19 in adults aged 18 to 65.
