This small molecule combination regimen consists of vincristine (a microtubule inhibitor), cyclophosphamide (an alkylating agent), high-dose methotrexate (a folate antagonist), doxorubicin (an anthracycline topoisomerase II inhibitor), and cytarabine (a nucleoside analog antimetabolite). The protocol is typically administered in intensive phases, including induction and consolidation courses (such as CYM and CYVE), and often incorporates intrathecal therapy for central nervous system prophylaxis.
