Overview
ViNeuro is an investigational, specially formulated Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) product developed as a potential treatment for Parkinson's disease. [2] It is administered as an oral capsule. [2] Preclinical studies indicated that ViNeuro may have immunomodulating properties, by increasing the activity of T-cells, B-cells, and Natural Killer (NK) cells, and also possess mitochondrial antioxidant effects. [2] A completed triple-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial (NCT00517842) was conducted to evaluate its efficacy and safety in patients with Parkinson's disease. [2, 3] The trial was sponsored by the Hospital Authority, Hong Kong, with Vigconic (International) Ltd. as a collaborator. [12]
