Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VinEV-3 is an investigational cell-free biologic therapy consisting of extracellular vesicles derived from umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSC-EVs). Developed by the Vinmec Research Institute of Stem Cell and Gene Technology, it is designed for the treatment of liver cirrhosis. The therapy leverages the regenerative and immunomodulatory properties of these vesicles, which contain bioactive molecules intended to restore liver function and inhibit the progression of hepatic fibrosis. VinEV-3 is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 dose-escalation clinical trial to assess its safety and preliminary efficacy when administered intravenously to adult patients.
