The combination has been studied as "metronomic chemotherapy," where low continuous doses are administered to exert antiangiogenic effects while minimizing toxicity[1][2][8]. This regimen aims to target both tumor cells directly (cytotoxicity) and the tumor microenvironment (antiangiogenesis/immunomodulation).
