Overview

Vinorelbine liposome is a liposomal formulation of vinorelbine, an antimitotic anticancer agent belonging to the vinca alkaloid class. It functions by inhibiting microtubule dynamics, which leads to mitotic arrest and subsequent cell death. The liposomal encapsulation aims to reduce systemic toxicity, enhance tumor tissue targeting, and improve the pharmacokinetic profile compared to conventional vinorelbine. It has been investigated for various cancers, including advanced solid tumors, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, rhabdomyosarcoma, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, soft tissue sarcoma, and renal cell carcinoma.
