Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Vinsalpium** is a Vietnamese fixed-dose nebulizer solution containing the short-acting beta-2 adrenergic agonist salbutamol and the short-acting antimuscarinic bronchodilator ipratropium bromide. Salbutamol relaxes bronchial smooth muscle through beta-2 adrenergic receptor activation, while ipratropium blocks muscarinic receptor-mediated vagal bronchoconstriction. The product is indicated for reversible bronchospasm associated with obstructive airway disease and has been evaluated in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, where it showed efficacy and safety comparable with Combivent.
