Viodin is a topical antiseptic and disinfectant solution containing 100 mg/ml of povidone-iodine as its active ingredient. Manufactured by the Ukrainian company Viola Pharmaceutical Factory (PJSC Pharmaceutical Factory Viola), it is a generic formulation of the widely used antiseptic povidone-iodine. The drug provides a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity, including bactericidal effects against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as virucidal, fungicidal, sporicidal, and antiprotozoal properties. Viodin is primarily indicated for the treatment of hands and skin prior to surgical procedures, bladder catheterization, injections, and punctures. It is supplied as a dark brown solution for external application and can be used in both diluted and undiluted forms.
