Viralym-A is an investigational T cell immunotherapy developed by AlloVir (formerly ViraCyte) for the treatment of Adenovirus infections in immunocompromised patients, particularly those who have undergone allogeneic stem cell transplant. It consists of banked Adenovirus-specific T cells derived from healthy donors, designed to specifically target and eliminate life-threatening Adenovirus infections that can occur when the immune system is weakened post-transplant. The drug is an investigational product not yet approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
