ViroTCell

ViroTCell is an investigational donor-derived virus-specific T lymphocyte (VST) therapy developed by Banc de Sang i Teixits (BST) in collaboration with the Vall d'Hebron Institut d'Oncologia (VHIO). It consists of cytomegalovirus (CMV)-specific T cells obtained from donors, designed to provide adoptive T-cell immunotherapy for recipients of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) who develop CMV infections. The therapy aims to restore CMV-specific immunity in immunocompromised patients. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase Ib-II clinical trial in Spain, representing the first antiviral cell therapy trial produced entirely within the country.
