Virtuos

Virtuos is a cellular bone allograft developed by Orthofix for use in spinal fusion procedures, such as those treating degenerative disc disease. It is a Human Cells, Tissues, and Cellular and Tissue-Based Product (HCT/P) that provides a complete solution for bone repair by supplying an osteoconductive matrix, osteoinductive growth factors, and osteogenic live cells. Virtuos is unique in being a lyophilized (shelf-stable) cellular bone allograft, which simplifies storage and handling compared to traditional cryopreserved cellular grafts. It is specifically processed to ensure cell viability while minimizing immunogenicity, aiming to achieve high fusion rates in lumbar and cervical spine surgeries by facilitating the natural bone healing process.
