Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VIS-102 (also known as HT006.2.2) is an investigational, next-generation modified recombinant human nerve growth factor (rhNGF) eye drop being developed for the treatment of neurotrophic keratitis (NK). Originally developed by Wuhan Hiteck Biological Pharma and licensed globally (excluding Greater China) to Visara (a subsidiary of NovaBridge Biosciences), VIS-102 incorporates targeted amino acid sequence modifications and formulation optimization designed to improve resistance to enzymatic degradation and maintain stability under refrigeration. This allows the therapy to be supplied in ready-to-use, single-dose units, potentially reducing the storage and administration burden compared to existing treatments. VIS-102 acts by targeting the nerve growth factor (NGF) pathway to restore corneal nerve function and promote corneal healing.
