Overview

VIS410 is a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody developed to broadly neutralize all known strains of influenza A virus. It binds to a conserved epitope on the stem region of the hemagglutinin (HA) protein, preventing the conformational changes required for viral fusion with host cell membranes and thereby inhibiting viral replication. The drug was designed as a single-dose intravenous therapy for hospitalized patients with influenza A and demonstrated efficacy in reducing symptom duration and viral load in clinical studies. Developed by Visterra, it reached Phase 2 clinical trials but development was discontinued for strategic reasons[1][3][4][6][7].
