Overview

VIS571 is a monoclonal antibody developed by Visterra, a subsidiary of Otsuka, currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of autoimmune-related diseases. It is designed to target the interleukin-2 receptor (IL2R) to modulate IL-2 signaling pathways. Unlike VIS171, which is a modified IL-2 molecule (mIL-2), VIS571 is an antibody-based therapeutic candidate generated using Visterra's Hierotope platform. The drug aims to restore immune homeostasis by selectively influencing the activity of T lymphocyte populations involved in autoimmune pathology.
