Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ViscoHb 1.5 is a CE-marked ophthalmic viscoelastic device (OVD) developed and marketed by Iromed Group S.r.l. for use during intraoperative ophthalmic procedures, such as cataract surgery. It is a viscous, elastic solution typically composed of sodium hyaluronate that is injected into the eye to maintain the depth of the anterior chamber and protect the corneal endothelium and other intraocular tissues from mechanical trauma during surgical maneuvers. By providing a stable surgical environment and facilitating the implantation of intraocular lenses, it helps minimize post-operative complications and improve surgical outcomes.
