Overview
Vision SPF 28 is a broad-spectrum sunscreen formulation that has been utilized in clinical research to evaluate its efficacy in preventing ultraviolet (UV) radiation-induced skin damage. In studies conducted by the Universitair Medisch Centrum Utrecht, it was investigated for its ability to inhibit neutrophil infiltration and the expression of proteolytic enzymes, such as matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), in the skin following exposure to solar-simulating radiation (SSR). By acting as a physical and chemical barrier against UV radiation, the product aims to prevent acute dermatitis (sunburn), photoaging, and the degradation of the extracellular matrix. The trial context specifically compared the effects of this sunscreen against topical vitamin E and topical betamethasone in healthy adults.
