Vismed Gel Multi

Vismed Gel Multi is a preservative-free, multidose ophthalmic hydrogel containing 0.3% sodium hyaluronate formulated as a hypotonic solution with essential tear ions to provide sustained lubrication of the ocular surface in patients with dry eye symptoms and ocular surface damage, including those with superficial keratitis, Sjögren syndrome, or primary dry eye syndrome.[3][4][5][7][9][11][13] Sodium hyaluronate, a viscoelastic, water-retaining polymer naturally present in the eye, forms a stable coating on the cornea and conjunctiva that is slowly eliminated by blinking, delivering long-lasting relief of dryness, burning, ocular fatigue, and irritation from environmental stress or contact lens wear, and is suitable for use with both rigid and soft lenses.[3][4][5][7][9][11][13] The product is supplied in a 10 ml multidose container with a reproducible drop delivery system and is used as needed, typically 1–2 drops per dose, as an over-the-counter lubricant eye drop rather than a systemically active pharmaceutical agent.[2][5][8][11][15][16]
