Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vitamin B6 for Injection is an approved injectable pharmaceutical formulation of pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) developed by Hainan Helpson Medical & Biotechnology. Pyridoxine is an essential water-soluble vitamin that is enzymatically converted in vivo by pyridoxal kinase into its active coenzyme form, pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (PLP). PLP serves as a crucial cofactor for over 100 enzymatic reactions involved in amino acid, carbohydrate, and lipid metabolism, as well as neurotransmitter synthesis (including serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, and GABA). This injectable product is indicated for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin B6 deficiency, the management of isoniazid poisoning, and the treatment of nausea and vomiting associated with pregnancy, radiation sickness, or chemotherapy, as well as seborrheic dermatitis. It is administered via subcutaneous, intramuscular, or intravenous injection.
