Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vitamin K2 + cholecalciferol is a fixed-dose combination dietary supplement containing two fat-soluble vitamins—vitamin K2 (commonly as menaquinone-7) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3). Cholecalciferol facilitates calcium absorption in the gut and supports bone mineralization, while vitamin K2 activates proteins involved in calcium metabolism and helps direct calcium to bones rather than soft tissues. The combination is primarily used to support bone health, reduce the risk of osteoporosis-related fractures, and maintain normal immune function. Clinical studies suggest that combined administration may increase bone mineral density more effectively than either component alone in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis[4][6]. Both components are essential nutrients; deficiency can lead to impaired bone health or coagulation disorders.
