Vitargin

Vitargin is a metabolic and hepatoprotective combination product developed and marketed by the Ukrainian company Ecopharm. It is formulated with two primary active ingredients: L-arginine and betaine. L-arginine is a semi-essential amino acid that acts as a substrate for nitric oxide synthase, leading to the production of nitric oxide which promotes vasodilation and improves microcirculation. Additionally, L-arginine is a key component of the urea cycle, aiding in the detoxification of ammonia. Betaine (trimethylglycine) serves as a methyl donor in the conversion of homocysteine to methionine and acts as an osmolyte, protecting hepatocytes from osmotic stress and supporting lipid metabolism to prevent or reduce hepatic steatosis. Vitargin is typically used to support liver function in conditions such as hepatitis, fatty liver disease (steatosis), and during recovery from physical exhaustion or toxic insults.
