It is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition characterized by swollen legs, varicose veins, and a feeling of heaviness or pain. The extract contains pharmacologically active flavonoids, particularly quercetin-3-O-beta-D-glucuronide and isoquercitrin, which exert anti-inflammatory and venotonic effects. These compounds help to reduce capillary permeability (anti-edematous effect) and improve microcirculation by protecting the vascular endothelium.
