Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vivo-T is a novel in vivo CAR-T cell therapy platform developed by Syenex. It utilizes a T cell-specific lentiviral vector (LVV) to deliver chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) constructs directly into a patient's T cells within the body. This approach bypasses the traditional, complex, and costly ex vivo manufacturing process, which involves leukapheresis, genetic modification, and expansion outside the body. In preclinical studies using humanized B cell lymphoma mouse models, Vivo-T encoding anti-CD19 CARs demonstrated efficient T cell transduction, rapid CAR-T expansion, and potent anti-tumor activity. The platform is designed to be a scalable, off-the-shelf immunotherapy solution for hematologic malignancies and potentially autoimmune diseases and solid tumors.
