Overview
Vizol S is a line of preservative-free ophthalmic solutions developed by JGL (Jadran-Galenski Laboratorij) for the management of dry eye disease and ocular surface irritation. The product range includes various formulations, most notably those based on sodium hyaluronate (0.21% and 0.4%) which provide long-lasting lubrication and hydration to the ocular surface. The "Lipid Balance" variant is a specialized emulsion that combines sodium hyaluronate with a lipid component to stabilize the tear film's lipid layer, specifically targeting evaporative dry eye. These products are used to improve tear film stability, reduce symptoms of moderate to severe dry eye, and optimize keratometric measurements in preoperative settings such as cataract surgery.
