Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vizol S DIGI EYE is a preservative-free ophthalmic solution developed by JGL (Jadran-Galenski Laboratorij) for the management of moderate to severe dry eye disease (DED), specifically targeting evaporative DED associated with digital eye strain. The formulation combines sodium hyaluronate, a high-molecular-weight polysaccharide that acts as a lubricant and tear film stabilizer, with a blue light filter (containing lutein and zeaxanthin). This combination is designed to provide long-lasting hydration to the ocular surface while protecting it from oxidative stress and potential damage caused by high-energy visible (HEV) blue light emitted by digital screens. It is administered topically as eye drops to alleviate symptoms such as dryness, irritation, and ocular fatigue.
