Overview

VL-2511 is an autologous, dual-targeted chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy designed to simultaneously target B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and CD19. This dual-targeting strategy is intended to overcome antigen escape and address the clonal heterogeneity often observed in B-cell malignancies and plasma cell disorders. The therapy is manufactured using a lentiviral vector and an optimized process designed for cost-effective, local production in resource-constrained settings like India. VL-2511 is primarily being evaluated for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (R/R MM), but its clinical development also extends to POEMS syndrome, B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL), and various autoimmune disorders such as systemic lupus erythematosus and myasthenia gravis.
