Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VL-G-E12 is a proprietary multi-herb adaptogenic formulation being investigated for its adaptogenic, antidepressant-like, anxiolytic, and stimulating effects. Preclinical studies in mice show that VL-G-E12 significantly induces antidepressant-like, adaptogenic, anxiolytic-like, and stimulating effects, without a dose-dependent relationship. The extract also demonstrates antimicrobial (antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, antiprotozoal, antimalarial, anthelmintic), anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, anti-hypercholesterolemia, anti-hypertensive, anti-carcinogenic, and immunomodulatory effects. VL-G-E12 is being studied for its ability to modulate symptoms of HPA axis dysfunction such as stress, anxiety, sleep quality, fatigue, and mood in humans[1].
