Overview

VL-P22 is a biologic therapeutic candidate consisting of exosomes derived from human platelets, developed by Vitti Labs. Exosomes are small extracellular vesicles that transport a cargo of bioactive molecules, including growth factors, cytokines, and signaling proteins, which facilitate intercellular communication and tissue repair. VL-P22 is primarily being investigated for its regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties, particularly in the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis secondary to COVID-19. In clinical trials, it is often administered via nebulization, frequently in combination with placental-derived exosomes (VL-PX10), to deliver these regenerative mediators directly to damaged lung tissue to mitigate fibrotic scarring and restore respiratory function.
