Overview

CaroGen's VLV-based cancer vaccine is an immunotherapy candidate developed using the proprietary AVIDIO platform. This platform employs Virus-Like Vesicles (VLV), which are chimeric viral vectors consisting of a self-amplifying RNA replicon (derived from an alphavirus) packaged within the envelope glycoprotein of the vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV-G). The vaccine is engineered to deliver genetic sequences for tumor-associated antigens directly to host cells, triggering a robust and synergistic activation of both the innate and adaptive immune systems. Specifically, it aims to generate high-frequency tumor-specific T-cell responses to combat liver cancer and breast cancer. The platform is designed to be highly immunogenic while maintaining a favorable safety profile due to its non-integrating and self-limiting nature.
