Overview

VMS063 is a novel, highly potent, half-life-extended monoclonal antibody candidate being developed by Invivyd, Inc. for the treatment and prevention of measles. The drug functions by targeting the measles Fusion (F) protein and locking the trimeric protein into a pre-fusion configuration, thereby preventing viral cell entry. This mechanism of action is analogous to that of approved monoclonal antibodies used for pediatric respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). VMS063 has demonstrated broad in vitro neutralization across multiple measles lineages, including currently circulating B3 and D8 strains as well as ancestral Edmonston lineages, by binding to a highly conserved epitope on the F protein. As of April 2026, the candidate is in IND-enabling studies with a target for IND readiness in late 2026.
