VNK-101 is an allogeneic, off-the-shelf natural killer (NK) cell therapy being developed by Vycellix for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. The therapy is engineered using Vycellix's proprietary VY-UC universal cell engineering platform, which utilizes a single-step CD45 engager strategy. This approach is designed to prevent the host immune system from rapidly eliminating the donor-derived cells, thereby addressing a significant barrier to the efficacy and persistence of allogeneic cell medicines. VNK-101 is currently in early-stage development, with the company preparing for Phase 1 clinical trials and regulatory interactions with the Swedish Medical Products Agency.
