Overview

VNPP548 is a preclinical-stage small molecule molecular glue degrader being developed by Isoprene Pharmaceuticals. It serves as a backup compound within the company's pipeline, which focuses on utilizing a non-Cereblon-based platform for targeted protein degradation. Based on its nomenclature (the "VNPP" series), VNPP548 is designed to target the Androgen Receptor (AR), including its splice variants such as AR-V7, and the E3 ubiquitin ligase MDM2. This dual-targeting mechanism is intended to treat castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) by degrading the primary oncogenic driver (AR) while simultaneously stabilizing the p53 tumor suppressor through MDM2 degradation.
