Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**VNX001** is an investigational, ready-to-use intravesical combination product containing alkalinized lidocaine and heparin sodium for on-demand treatment of acute bladder-pain flares in interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome. Lidocaine provides local analgesia by reversibly blocking voltage-gated sodium channels in bladder-associated sensory tissue, while heparin is intended to augment and protect the bladder's glycosaminoglycan mucosal layer, limiting irritation from urinary constituents and potentially prolonging the local anesthetic effect. VNX001 is administered into the bladder by catheter as a prefilled intravesical solution and is being developed by Vaneltix Pharma with Hyloris.
