This combination therapy consists of **volrustomig** (a bispecific monoclonal antibody targeting both programmed death-1 [PD-1] and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 [CTLA-4]) and **bevacizumab** (a monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A [VEGF-A]). **Volrustomig** is designed to boost anti-tumor immune responses by simultaneously inhibiting PD-1 and CTLA-4, key immune checkpoints that restrict the immune system from attacking cancer, while **bevacizumab** inhibits VEGF-A to block tumor angiogenesis, thus starving tumors of blood supply needed for growth. This combination is under active phase 2 investigation for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and other hepatobiliary cancers. The regimen is given intravenously as part of ongoing clinical trials[1][3][5].
