Overview

volrustomig + casdatifan is an investigational combination therapy for advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Volrustomig is a bispecific monoclonal antibody targeting both programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte associated protein 4 (CTLA-4), designed to enhance anti-tumor immune response. Casdatifan is a small molecule inhibitor of hypoxia-inducible factor 2 alpha (HIF-2α), intended to disrupt hypoxia signaling that drives renal cancer growth. In combination, these mechanisms are being evaluated for additive or synergistic effects in frontline kidney cancer treatment. The combination is currently under clinical investigation in a multicenter, randomized Phase Ib/III study.[1][2][4][5][7][8]
