Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vomikaynd is a small molecule anti-emetic medication containing the active ingredient ondansetron. It is distributed in Ukraine by AAR Pharma and is likely manufactured by Mankind Pharma. As a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist, it is primarily used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting associated with emetogenic cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgical procedures. The drug works by blocking serotonin (5-HT) at 5-HT3 receptors located both peripherally on vagal nerve terminals and centrally in the chemoreceptor trigger zone of the area postrema, thereby inhibiting the emetic reflex.
