Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vomiteb is a proprietary Ayurvedic polyherbal formulation developed by Charak Pharma for the prevention and management of nausea and vomiting. Available in both syrup and tablet forms, Vomiteb is composed of several traditional medicinal herbs, including Kapur Kachri (Hedychium spicatum), Shunthi (Zingiber officinale), Ela (Elettaria cardamomum), Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), and Citrus limon. It works by suppressing the vomiting center in the brain and regulating gastrointestinal motility to prevent gastroesophageal reflux and gastric irritation. Vomiteb is clinically used to treat morning sickness during pregnancy, motion sickness, travel sickness, infantile regurgitation, and drug-induced emesis, offering a safe, non-drowsy alternative to conventional chemical antiemetics.
