Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vonoprazan + amoxicillin + clarithromycin is a co-packaged medication used for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection in adults. This combination therapy consists of vonoprazan, a potassium-competitive acid blocker (PCAB) that decreases the amount of acid produced by the stomach, along with two antibiotics: amoxicillin (a beta-lactam antibiotic) and clarithromycin (a macrolide antibiotic). The antibiotics work by killing bacteria or preventing their growth, while vonoprazan provides prolonged acid inhibition to create an environment where the antibiotics can work more effectively against H. pylori.
