vonoprazan + amoxicillin + furazolidone

This is a combination therapy consisting of vonoprazan, amoxicillin, and furazolidone. Vonoprazan is a novel potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) that provides potent and sustained gastric acid suppression, more effective than traditional proton pump inhibitors. Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. Furazolidone is a nitrofuran antibiotic with activity against Helicobacter pylori and other gastrointestinal pathogens; it works by damaging bacterial DNA through the generation of reactive intermediates. The combination of these three agents has been studied as part of triple or quadruple regimens for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection, particularly in regions with high resistance to clarithromycin or metronidazole. Clinical studies have shown high eradication rates for H. pylori using this regimen, including in patients who have failed previous therapies[1][2][4][5]. The mechanism involves synergistic antibacterial effects under conditions of profound acid suppression provided by vonoprazan.
