Overview

Voxalatamab (JNJ-63898081) is a humanized bispecific antibody designed to target both prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) on tumor cells and CD3 on T cells. By binding simultaneously to PSMA and CD3, it acts as a bridge that redirects T cells to attack PSMA-expressing cancer cells, primarily in prostate cancer. The drug is being developed by Janssen Research & Development and was originally co-developed with Genmab. Its mechanism of action involves antibody-dependent cell cytotoxicity and stimulation of T lymphocytes for anti-tumor activity. Voxalatamab has been evaluated in phase 1 clinical trials for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) and renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer), particularly in patients who have progressed after standard therapies[1][2][3][4][5].
